Student Life

Student Life's mission is to develop holistically successful students who are committed to personal growth, leadership, and service through inclusive co-curricular programming. The Lakewood and Arvada campus Student Life offers various services and activities for students, including:

Students who are taking courses at the Arvada campus are encouraged to visit the Lakewood campus and take full advantage of the student services and resources available. The Student Center includes foosball, ping pong, vending machines, the Den, the Food Pantry, multiple lounges, the Student Life Desk, and the Student Project Center.

Student Food Pantry

The pantry is a no-need-based, market-style food outlet available to all currently enrolled Red Rocks Community College students. The variety of food we offer gives our students the opportunity to sit down and prepare food in the lounge, and to shop for groceries to take home. Students are welcome to visit the Student Pantry once per week and can choose up to six food items and two non-food items at no cost. We provide shelf stable products, ready-to-eat items, and hygiene products at no cost to visitors. Available items change from week to week. No reservation required, bring your current RRCC Student ID, and know your student ID number. Hours vary by semester.

Leadership Programs

Ready to lead, grow, and make a difference? Red Rocks Community College invites you to join our transformative Student Leadership Program, proudly rooted in the Social Change Model. This dynamic experience empowers students to discover their strengths, inspire and uplift others, and ignite meaningful change in their communities. The program unfolds across three progressive levels, each building on the last—so you’ll grow step by step into the leader you’re meant to be. Whether you're looking to sharpen existing skills or develop new ones, this is your chance to connect with campus leaders, collaborate with peers, and gain real-world experience. Participants will walk away with a certificate of completion , resume-worthy leadership experience, and a deeper sense of purpose and impact.

Phi Theta Kappa

Phi Theta Kappa (PTK) is the largest and most prestigious honor society serving two-year colleges around the world. Phi Theta Kappa offers students numerous opportunities for scholarships, intellectual enrichment, and personal development. Membership in Red Rocks’ PTK chapter, Alpha Kappa Sigma, is by invitation and based on academic achievement. For more information: rrcc.edu/student-life.

Student Activities The office of Student Life offers activities every month from regular happenings like Movie Nights to huge events like New Student Welcome Night. Student Clubs

Student clubs allow for further exploration and discovery in both academic and non-academic areas, enabling growth experiences and learning beyond the classroom setting. Meeting a group of peers is vital when in college. Student clubs pursue special goals that support a variety of common interests and ideas among students.
