Medical Office Administration Certificate
The Medical Office Technology Programs at Red Rocks Community College are designed to prepare students for rewarding careers in healthcare administration. The Medical Office Administration Certificate focuses on the administrative side of healthcare operations. Students gain expertise in appointment scheduling, patient record management.
Internship Details
To fulfill the program requirements, students must complete a 90-hour Administrative Internship (MOT 1081).
Internship Requirements:
• The internship must be completed on-site at least 3 days per week.
• Students have the option to establish their own suitable internship site.
• The internship site must be approved by the Program Director no later than Week 10 of the semester that precedes Internship.
• Criminal background check and drug screening (completed at the student’s expense through the approved RRCC provider) are required before beginning the internship.
Recommended Course Sequence
Students complete the program in two semesters.
