DMS 3211 General Sonography Scan Lab
Introduces medical and sonography terminology utilized in general sonography scan protocols within the specialty areas of abdomen, small parts, gynecological, urological, and procedural sonography. This course reviews the importance of patient history to process diagnostic data and written reports for presentation to the interpreting physician. The course demonstrates and applies proper ergonomics, ultrasound instrumentation, image production and optimization in a lab setting on simulator and human anatomy scan practice to prepare for clinical rotations.
